Glam.com make an interview with AnnaSophia Robb
I’ve been tweeting this week. I’m going try and tweet a lot more and be more active. First I thought that’s too hipster, but then I realize everyone does it, so once I get the iPhone, I’ll have Instagram.
On the costume styling (by Eric Daman) for The Carrie Diaries:
We’re not trying to be “Sex & the City,” but we’ll have similar tastes. I don’t know if Carrie’s there quite yet [with her style.] I’m wearing a lot of vintage stuff and I feel like the drop waist will come back in style.
On her relationship with Candace Bushnell:
I was actually emailing with her earlier. She’s like, “I’m gonna take you shopping and we’re gonna meet this person or this person, but you have to choose your own outfits.”
I just got a really great dress from ASOS. I’m just starting to get into online shopping. I like Anthropologie for their accessories. I like to go out to shop because I like to touch tags and feel the fabrics. Check out a few flicks of our evening with AnnaSophia and AmEx, including a shot of our Editorial Directors, Bianca Posterli conducting the interview and Nola Weinstein, tweeting away in style.
Junior Carrie Bradshaw AnnaSophia Robb talk at Ferragamo exhibition of Marilyn Monroe in Florence on being the young Carrie Bradshaw.
“To be introduced into the fashion world via Ferragamo is such an honour” she said.
“And I love their clothes and their shoes. Ferragamo is one of the most elegant brands out there.”
“The fashion’s going to be amazing but it will definitely have a different flavour than the original Sex and the City because it’s for a younger audience. But I really hope to make Carrie Diaries the Sex and the City of my generation”
When asked what her favorite episode from Sex And The City was, AnnaSophia replied with
“Um, I think ‘The Drought’ is my favorite episode. It’s the one where she farts in bed and she’s mortified and it’s just so real and I love it.”
“The Carrie Diaries” star AnnaSophia Robb won’t be getting any tips on playing the beloved character from the original Carrie Bradshaw.
“I would never give advice. No, no, no,” Sarah Jessica Parker told Jill at Tuesday’s Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
“It’s like someone giving romance advice or parenting advice,” the actress continued. “It’s such a unique experience, playing a part and I’m sure they found someone wonderful.”
But does Sarah Jessica think seeing a younger version of Carrie on the small screen will be fun?
“I wasn’t part of it in any way, so I don’t know,” she said. “I’m sure it will be, definitely.”
In September 2011, the actress spoke to Access about the “Sex and The City” prequel.
“I think it’s wonderful that people want to hear Carrie’s story, and I understand,” the actress told Access at the time. “Peter Roth, [President of Warner Bros. TV,] is smart and wonderful and funny and I’m sure it will be in excellent hands.”
