She is playing a younger version of iconic TV sitcom character Carrie Bradshaw.
But it seemed like it was more like AnnaSophia Robb got a soaking in the city as she recorded scenes for the prequel series in New York on Tuesday.
She and her on-screen sister were hosed down by their on-screen father as they recorded a car wash scene for The Carrie Diaries.
It started when Matt Lescher, who plays Carrie’s father Tom, picked up a hose while the girls were washing his car.
He then proceeded to chase them around the vehicle, with all three giggling as he did so.
Clever AnnaSophia, 18, managed to pull a fast one on her 14-year-old co-star Stefania Owen, as she kept her between herself and the water as they ran.
But there was certainly no hard feelings and the jolly trio were laughing about it all when the cameras finally stopped rolling.
The upcoming CW series, which is set in the Eighties, follows Carrie in her high school days as she attempts to forge a writing career.
It focuses on her senior year of high school and part of her life in New York working as a writer
TV bosses will be hoping the show, which is created by Gossip Girl’s Josh Schwartz, will share the success of the HBO show, which ran for six seasons and spawned two hit movies.
What a Carrie on: AnnaSophia was tickled pink as she took part in the fun-filled scene with her TV family
